This featured image is inspired by a depiction of Jesus Christ is based on the devotion initiated by Faustina Kowalska in 1931. Here we see Jesus raising his right hand in blessing and pointing with his left hand on the Sacred Heart from which flow forth two rays of light: one red and one pale. The streams of light are meant to symbolize the blood of Jesus and the redemptive power of water on the soul. We are moved by Christ’s Divine Mercy to charity, forgiveness and love of God.
